Go for it Lowell… And remember the wise words of Hunter Thompson: “We’d be fools not to ride this strange torpedo all the way out to the end.”

Make sure you have a couple of pairs of good padded shorts, rotate them, and keep them clean. Your butt will get used to saddle time before long.

Hey Lowell, we met on top of Monarch pass. Chris put up the photo of us as sort of an insufferable faux-polaroid, but drop me a line if you’d like the unedited version and I’ll see if I can’t get him to give it up. Hope you enjoyed the ride down, and have fun with the rest of your miles!

I saw your message on the cascade web site. I used a Krebs map when I was riding in california. http://krebscycleproducts.com/

For getting to Portland, I have always wanted to try to ride through the national parks. http://g.co/maps/w5vn
This would be a killer ride

Let me know if you are considering this route and I will give you what details I know

      August 30, 2011 at 4:30 pm

      • I like the idea of the a flat route like STP. If you have any ideas for slight detours from that, I’d be interested in considering them. Regardless, thank you much for the advice.
